Zest and the IVF Network to host fertility webinar

Industry experts will take part in a roundtable discussion on Tuesday 16th January at our Leatherhead office.

Zest are delighted to announce that we will be collaborating with the IVF Network, an online membership community for those on their IVF journey, to host a fertility webinar in January.

The first of our webinars for 2024, we will delve deeper into how companies can better support employees with their fertility journeys, regardless of what stage they are at and what type of journey they are looking at.

Fertility and the workplace

Fertility issues and infertility diagnosis can be a hugely stressful and challenging process for couples and individuals going through it. And this is further heightened by the absence of proper workplace support.

A recent study of 1,500 respondents by The IVF Network found that 67.3% those surveyed did not feel supported by their employer when undergoing fertility treatment.

When surveyed, 38% of people going through fertility treatment considered quitting their jobs. With an average cost of £30k to replace an employee, having the right support for your workforce is an important point to consider. In fact, according to a recent study by Brabners, 53% of employees experiencing fertility issues say they’d be more likely to stay at their company if the employer funded fertility treatment.

The session is an inclusive discussion showcasing the positive outcomes of implementing a fertility benefit support policy, and aligns with our mission of empowering employees and championing a new era of employee engagement.

In attendance at our webinar will be:

  • Jennifer Elworthy – Fertility & Career Coach (Host)
  • Dr Golnoush Golshirazi – CEO & Co-Founder at ScreenMe
  • Joy Waugh – Principle Consultant at Zest
